Daniel Hinojo — Massage, Bodywork & Heilpraktiker (Berlin)

Deep tissue precision. Gentle rocking to reset your system. Quiet, steady hands when you just need to be held.

Three ways I work

  • Deep Tissue Massage — Focused, slow, and precise to unwind stubborn tension and improve range of motion.
  • Trager Approach — Gentle cradling, rocking, and effortless movement to re-educate the nervous system and restore ease.
  • Healing Hands — A grounded laying-on-of-hands to settle the body, balance energy, and support healing.

Licensed Heilpraktiker (Germany). I am legally permitted to practice healing and to use therapeutic language.
20+ years of practice. Swedish Institute (NYC) + long-term study in Eastern and neuroscience-informed methods.
Collaborative, consent-based, trauma-sensitive. We work with your body, not against it.

Services

Deep Tissue Massage

What it is: Slow, specific pressure and myofascial work for chronically tight or overworked areas.
Good for: Neck/shoulders from desk work, low-back tightness, post-training recovery, “I’ve tried everything” knots.
How it feels: Measured, focused, never brute force. We keep intensity productive—not punishing.
You leave with: Space to move, easier breath, and simple at-home cues to help it hold.

Trager Approach

What it is: Very gentle, rhythmic cradling and rocking that invites your nervous system to rediscover effortless movement.
Why it works: Pleasant, low-effort motion helps the brain let go of old holding patterns.
How it feels: Light, wave-like, surprisingly profound. People often say, “I feel taller, lighter, freer.”
Great for: Systemic stress, movement stiffness, nervous-system overload, artists/athletes wanting fluidity.

Not a “deep massage”—it’s movement education through touch. The results can be deep.

Healing Hands

What it is: The ancient laying-on-of-hands—call it energy work, call it quiet contact. Labels aside, it’s about presence and healing.
How I work: Still touch, light holds, and subtle micro-movements while you rest and breathe; we may include gentle imagery to engage your own inner resources.

Especially helpful when caution is wise:

  • Acute pain or recent flare-ups where deep pressure isn’t appropriate
  • Post-injury or post-procedure phases (once cleared by your doctor, if relevant)
  • Overwhelm, grief, burnout, sleep issues—times when the system needs safety first

You may notice: Warmth, calm, pain down-shifting, a quieter mind, and a felt sense of being “put back together.”

How a Session Works

  1. Brief chat — what you’re feeling and what you want today.
  2. Customized session — we might combine methods; your comfort sets the pace.
  3. Integration — time to notice what changed, plus simple take-home cues.

Clothes: Deep tissue is usually with oil/lotion; Trager®/Healing Hands can be done clothed. Your choice.

About Daniel

I began at the Swedish Institute (New York City) in the early 2000s and have kept learning ever since: Shiatsu, Tui Na, the Trager® Approach, and neuroscience-informed approaches to pain and movement. I’m also a Heilpraktiker in Germany, which means I’m permitted to practice healing. My style blends skilled touch with a collaborative, imaginal element: you’re not a passive body on a table—you’re an active partner in your own healing.

FAQ (short + honest)

Are you allowed to say you heal? Yes. As a Heilpraktiker in Germany, I’m legally permitted to practice healing.
Is deep tissue painful? It can be intense, but we stay in your “good work” range—never force.
Can we mix methods? Absolutely. Sessions are tailored to your body today.
Medical care? Hands-on healing can complement medical treatment. I don’t replace your physician; for acute injuries or conditions we proceed cautiously and coordinate when needed.
